Which headset
Dream Air
The one that replaced an ultrawide for iRacing. Sony micro-OLED panels at 3840×3552 per eye over a lossless DisplayPort connection, Tobii eye tracking for foveated rendering, and light enough at around 170g to forget you're wearing it. Full comparison against a Quest 3 in the head-to-head guide. Dream Air discount code and details.
Dream Air SE
The newer sibling. Tested across iRacing, AMS2, Assetto Corsa and AC Evo, with FOV measured rather than taken off the spec sheet, and a look at whether the revised facial interface fixes the comfort complaints. Tobii eye tracking and SLAM inside-out tracking mean no base stations to set up. Dream Air SE discount code and details.
Crystal Super
Pimax's flagship, and the one to look at if outright clarity matters more than weight. The bundled DMAS speakers are a genuine addition rather than a token. Crystal Super discount code and details.
Crystal Light
The way into the Crystal range for less than the Super. If you're not sure which headset suits your rig and your sims, ask in the Discord before you buy. Someone will have run your exact setup.

- Exclusive extras for members of our free Discord when Pimax provides them, which aren't available elsewhere

- The same testing standard as everything on the channel — nothing gets recommended that hasn't been used for real sessions
Pimax discount code FAQ
What is the Pimax discount code?
Use code NLSimgaming. Through the links on this page the discount is applied automatically on the Dream Air, Dream Air SE, Crystal Super and Crystal Light. You can also enter NLSimgaming at checkout on the Pimax store.
What happens if there's a problem with my order?
If you bought through the ambassador link, send me your Pimax order number privately on Discord and I'll raise it directly with my Pimax representative. Please don't post order details publicly.
Do Pimax headsets ship to the UK?
Yes. Pimax ships from local warehouses, so UK orders are delivered locally rather than from China. Deliveries can slow down around Chinese national holidays.
Get the most out of it
Buying the headset is the easy part. These are the guides worth reading next:
- Pimax setup and fix guide — start here if anything isn't behaving
- Quest 3 vs Dream Air for iRacing — measured FOV, clarity and comfort
- The iRacing driver setting nobody's talking about — 90FPS test
- Le Mans Ultimate VR settings
- Elhydro Custom FOV & Helmet Mod — free mod for more clarity and performance
Wear glasses? You can't wear them inside the Dream Air — the lenses sit too close. VRO prescription inserts are discounted through the ambassador link, and there are magnetic inserts from HONS VR as an alternative.
Affiliate disclosure: I'm an approved Pimax Sim Racing Ambassador and earn a commission on purchases made through the links on this page, at no extra cost to you. It funds the testing and doesn't change what gets said about the hardware — the comfort and glare issues are covered on the channel the same as the strengths.
