Approved Pimax Sim Racing Ambassador
Pimax
Pimax headsets have been on the rig for every recent iRacing, Le Mans Ultimate and Assetto Corsa session on the channel. Everything here is tested the way you'd actually use it — long stints, real sims, real frame counters.

Which headset
Dream Air
The one that replaced an ultrawide for iRacing. Sony micro-OLED panels at 3840×3552 per eye over a lossless DisplayPort connection, Tobii eye tracking for foveated rendering, and light enough at around 170g to forget you're wearing it. Full comparison against a Quest 3 in the head-to-head guide.
Dream Air SE
The newer sibling. Tested across iRacing, AMS2, Assetto Corsa and AC Evo, with FOV measured rather than taken off the spec sheet, and a look at whether the revised facial interface fixes the comfort complaints.
Crystal Super
Pimax's flagship, and the one to look at if outright clarity matters more than weight. The DMAS speakers bundled in the current offer are a genuine addition rather than a token.
Prefer a free year of iRacing?
You can take a 12-month iRacing subscription instead of the discount using code NLSIMGaming12 at checkout. Worth comparing against the discount before you decide — for a lot of people the subscription is worth more.
Why buy through the ambassador link
The discount is the small part. What actually matters is what happens if something goes wrong.
- Any issue with your order and I take it up directly with my Pimax representative on your behalf
- Free support in the Discord, where most configuration problems have already been solved by someone
- Fast UK delivery now that Pimax ship locally
- The same testing standard as everything on the channel — nothing gets recommended that hasn't been used for real sessions
Get the most out of it
Buying the headset is the easy part. These are the guides worth reading next:
- Pimax setup and fix guide — start here if anything isn't behaving
- Quest 3 vs Dream Air for iRacing — measured FOV, clarity and comfort
- The iRacing driver setting nobody's talking about — 90FPS test
- Le Mans Ultimate VR settings
- PrimaShock settings in the Discord — more performance across other titles
Wear glasses? You can't wear them inside the Dream Air — the lenses sit too close. VRO prescription inserts are discounted through the ambassador link, and there are magnetic inserts from HONS VR as an alternative.
Affiliate disclosure: I'm an approved Pimax Sim Racing Ambassador and earn a commission on purchases made through the links on this page, at no extra cost to you. It funds the testing and doesn't change what gets said about the hardware — the comfort and glare issues are covered on the channel the same as the strengths.
