The Pimax Crystal Pro pre-order is live: reserve yours for $1

Pimax has officially unveiled the Crystal Pro, a Mini-LED PC VR headset with built-in eye tracking and native foveated streaming, and you can lock in launch discounts with a $1 reservation today.
On 6 October 2026, at its Pimax Frontier event, Pimax announced the Crystal Pro. It's a big step for the company's flagship range: a 2880x2880 per eye QLED display with Mini-LED local dimming, integrated eye tracking, and a streaming system built to send the GPU's native image to the headset without losing the detail you are looking at.
Reserve the Crystal Pro for $1
Non-refundable. $20 off the headset or $50 off the bundle at launch, plus a place on the Pimax waitlist for updates and additional benefits.
Reserve the Crystal Pro for $1What is native foveated streaming?
With eye tracking built in, the Crystal Pro knows where you are looking. Foveated rendering uses that to concentrate GPU effort on the centre of your gaze, and Pimax's foveated streaming applies the same idea to the wireless link, so the sharpest part of the image goes where your eyes are. The idea is that you get a cleaner picture without needing as much raw bandwidth or GPU power.
It's an interesting approach for sim racing, where the centre of your view carries the dash, mirrors and braking markers. I'll be testing exactly that when I get my hands on one.
